Mountain View Motel

My home address is here although I haven't lived here for 5 years or so. I would stay two or three weeks at a time. I love it. The rooms are kept up but they have a John Wayne Western feel to them. Sitting on the porch watching the rain fall in the summer was so peaceful. Mountain View is a dry city but discreet use of beer and wine won't get anybody bothered. The town is very relaxed as far as the local authorities go. Ernest T Bass couldn't get himself in trouble here. It's a fun loving town.

The price was great and you get what you pay for. Clean but very rundown. We had to slam our door to get it to shut (poor neighbors), the bathroom needed a complete overhaul, there was no tub, and the carpet felt dirty on my bare feet. On the plus side, they did keep it as clean as you could possibly get it.

Room was newly remodeled and very clean. Had a very comfortable evening. The rate was very reasonable. In fact, I don’t remember a rate that low since I was a kid. and I am 65 years old!It was a little Of athrowback to the past, but I found that nostalgic. I would definitely stay here again. The owner was very nice and brought ice to my room.

This is a place you do not want to stay ever. I drove 8 hours today. It is 8pm. I want to bath, no hot water.I call the front deck and she says the owner is working on it give it 45 mins to an hour so after waiting an hour still no hot water I call the front desk again to tell her there is still no hot water and she says I’m not surprised so after another hour and a half still no hot water. It is midnight. The parking lot outside the door is loud. Radios, people slamming doors. Do not be deceived by the photos. The state code inspectors need to look at the electrical. It all has black tape on it and they have extended the plug to run the tv refrigerator microwave and cable box. There are exposed wires where they spliced cords together.

Super great staff and clean rooms. Very convenient for any shopping location within walking distance. Also one of the few places in Mountain View that offer weekly rates at a very reasonable price. Nightly stays already very reasonable price as well. If other hotels in the area need a strong tutorial on how to run their business, they need to take notes from this place. Someone old fashioned, but nicely maintained.
