Motel California

This Motel is a Gem! Quiet country feel but with lots of nearby necessities. Very fair price. The motel itself is older but the owner keeps it very clean and is always available when you need anything. Parking right in front of your door! I would recommend staying here if you will be in the area.

I was in the area to assist with some of the storm damage. We were able to rent rooms. The service was amazing, the prices were very reasonable and the rooms provided a safe and relaxing pace to sleep. Additionally, I had to have a very important package delivered to the room. Without even requesting. The owner saw the delivery and was kid enough and put it inside my room. Highly recommend if you need a good room in the area

If you are fortunate enough to stay at this very small, quaint Hotel, then by all means do so. The owner is absolutely wonderful! The prices are very reasonable. They spared no expense to make you feel comfortable and at home. Very quiet I promise you you will really like Donna. The water's hot, the beds are comfortable. Very clean.

The rooms are old but well kept. Unfortunately the longer you stay you find that you are being blamed for normal wear and tear. I have been there for 3 months and I had to block Donna. If you are staying a few days then it’s awesome. If you stay for work or for a length of time expect to have things touched, moved and rearranged, also expect to be blamed for regular maintenance that will naturally occur in an older establishment. She is currently threatening me, saying I cracked her shower floor on purpose. It is so stressful when dealing with someone that automatically assumes malice. I weigh 250 lbs, that being said I tried to be reasonable but she is unhinged and very disrespectful to my wife and I.

This is Donna, owner, manager, and housekeeper of Motel California. This is in response to Roger and Jennifer Blouin's negative comments. I waited to respond until after they had left the area. In response to Roger saying he blocked me, the only contact I made after they left was a text asking where they left the key, which I never found, so I changed the locks. Roger and Jennifer stayed 4 months. During that time they broke into my laundry room and didn't own up to it until a neighbor confirmed their wrongdoing. After repeated reminders to ensure their shower curtain remained closed and to not leave a wet rug and towels on the floor, as the floor and walls were getting ruined, they simply ignored me.
