Holiday Inn Express Blair by IHG

We spent a quick overnight stay there. We did not have a reservation just a walk in. The woman at the desk asked if we qualified for any discounts and applied what she could. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the walk-in shower was huge. The breakfast in the morning was decent, better than other places we've stayed. There was a pool, a bit on the smaller side.

We drove 8hrs and very tired so since Holiday express pops out to be pet friendly hotel in hotel search, we walked in and got a room. We have a small pug and he's trained and my support animal as my left eye is legally blind and I am also diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Its oly 5minutes since we paid the room and read that pets aren't allowed in the hotel, So we went to asked the front office if I can take my dog with me or just get a refund since we just paid the room no more rha 5minutes. Then this Coleen woman just being cold and inconsiderate telling us NO! YOU CANT GET YOUR PAYMENT BACK. We asked nicely if we can get the refund since we only paid it in about 5minutes and she just said no. Im shocked how people in this country turned out to be inconsiderate and rude

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!! Room was clean, comfortable and quiet! Was nice to see the brand name of the amenities in our bathroom, as there are some soaps and items that can cause us skin issues!! Appreciate that very much, as we have had issues in other hotels!

Positive: The breakfast choices were fantastic and the hotel personnel were willing to make more of an item if there was something you wanted. Negative: Desk chair in the room was uncomfortable and leaned back too far. Also not enough outlets in the room.

This hotel is a great place to stay. We stay here a lot. The complaints we ever have are so small it’s hard to complain. For instance the signal on the tv was bad which was only a problem because we couldn’t use the pool due to lightning. Not really the hotels fault. And the breakfast variety is not the best but it is always delicious. So if it is a two day stay no biggie if it were longer it would get old. So not really a complaint. More of a preference.
