Motel 6 Watsonville, CA - Monterey Area

This is the worst paid stay I’ve ever had (and I’ve paid to stay in a very rustic room in the Amazon jungle!). Within 10 minutes of arriving I got 6 flea bites (even though the receptionist insisted that they do a thorough cleaning after stays with pets). The flooring and walls were extremely scuffed up, cut out and replaced portions of the wall, the sink did not drain at all, the toilet wobbled when I sat on it (I weigh 150 lbs). I was told there were only room left on the bottom floor but the parking lots were barely 1/4 filled, they put me in the back where no one else was, then in the middle of the night they roomed someone right next to me so I could hear all their unpacking and movement while I was sleeping.

This Motel 6 is fine for a quick stay, and its located by the freeway to make it super convenient for travelers. My main requirement when I booked was to accommodate my dog, so I appreciated that they don't charge pet fees and there are pet waste stations located around the property. The room I was given was clean, the bed was comfortable enough, and all the linens were freshly clean and felt new. Bear in mind that they charge a $150 security deposit for incidentals that was not apparent when I made the booking. They also are not able to provide a receipt if you booked using Expedia.

Positive: You can walk across the street to Applebee's. And the price Negative: The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. There was no shampoo, trash can, or hair dryer. You can hear everything through every wall. The girl at the front has no customer service skills at all and she couldnt explain what i was signing for.

Everything was wrong!! When we got there we checked in and everything good, but when we got to the room we found flying cockroaches, spiders and all kind of insects. So we went to get the room changed, so they did changed the room for us but guess what that room had insects too it was gross. We booked 2 rooms and my sister booked one all of the rooms were full of flying cockroaches, spiders and like I said all kind of insects. They never try to make it better if you wonder why well because the whole hotel is that way. All the employees said that the owners knew that all the rooms were invaded by insects and they wouldn't do anything about it. It was the worse experience. My daughter got so many insects bites in all her body. I will need to take her to the Dr to make sure she is ok. If you

Stay here after having housing issues first 2 night staff was great following that night the manager in the morning short chubby lady was rude accused me of doing wrong and had a bad attitude. I felt discouraged to go to office and ask for anything when she was there and when the dryer in the laundry room wasn’t working I asked for assistance she refuses to help. Later that night around 8 she was doing her personal laundry in the larger laundry room where they was towels I guess. It’s the perks of living on property
