Holiday Inn Express & Suites Watsonville by IHG

Olga went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. The continental breakfast was very impressive! Best continental breakfast ever! We would have gave a 5 star rating but the pool was out of service.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express over Thanksgiving and had a very disappointing experience. My partner and I found the room and facilities outdated and not as advertised in the photos. The noise levels at night were unbearable, and overall it was very uncomfortable. We ended up leaving two nights early because of how uncomfortable the stay was. Even worse, the hotel refused to provide any partial refund for the unused nights, despite my attempts to resolve it through both the front desk and the booking service. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of customer care. I hope the management will consider improving their service in the future.

I really appreciated the front desk staff upon arrival. They were helpful and acknowledged me as an IHG rewards member, which made me feel as though I was valued. The room was very spacious, with only very little noise. The Wi-Fi does need improvement however. The included Hot breakfast was amazing, with numerous choices for people with different appetites and/or preferences. I will definitely note this hotel as one I will be recommending to any who might be staying in the Watsonville area!

Our family frequently visits this region with our children, and we’ve found that Watsonville accommodations offer better value compared to Santa Cruz or Monterey rates. While we typically book at the Best Western, we decided to give this property a chance. The rate was reasonable at $120 per night for a double queen room. We arrived for check-in at 2 PM, but our room wasn’t prepared yet (despite the parking lot being mostly empty - the hotel appeared quite vacant). Previous guest feedback had mentioned that actual check-in times are closer to 3 PM.
