Motel 6 Truth Or Consequences, NM

Motel 6’s slogan should be “If youre broke or everything else is booked, it’s the place to be”. Pros: toilet, toilet paper Cons: cleanliness, smell, noise, staff(if I’m being entitled), tv remote(incorrect model, most functions did not work), paid for queen size beds, got full size. Got key to room, went to second floor with handfuls of luggage, half the hallway smelt like nothing Ive smelt before. Mixture of dog poop, rotten food, dead something.. couldnt pinpoint. Luckily our room was on the other end and the smell didn’t permeate into our space. Tried to open door with keycard, wouldnt work. Dropped bags. Found worker outside. They acknowledged right away that they knew why it didnt work(issued wrong room). They reissued the key. Went to room, key worked. Immediately noticed the QUEEN

I was going to write a bad review. But I’m not that kind of person. Let’s just say the experience was horrible and we will not be returning. I would advise maybe think about going someplace else, like across the street possibly could be better.|If you enjoy being woke up by other guests at 4 o’clock in the morning with slamming doors and screaming. Then this is the place for you, if you enjoy your sleep don’t come here. If you enjoy your creature features don’t come here either. And if you do come here bring your own blanket, hairdryer, towels, wash cloth, (apparently, one set is only per room) also, bring your own Kleenex and toilet paper. Last but not least, you might want to bring a can of ozium, they sell it at Walmart across the street. You might ask what is ozium for? It’s to cover

😊: one of the best motel Ive ever been. Clean, comfy and in a safe area. Defintely recommended..

The room was pretty pathetic. Curtain falling off the rod in front of the window. Smoke detector falling apart and just hanging off the wall. Not too good at all. I would say this particular motel rates well near the bottom of the stack as far as motel 6 hotels go. Room not very clean appearing either. Won't stay here again.

This hotel was the absolute worst. My king room had one pillow and a sheet. The towels, which were once white, were a dirty bath water color. The bath tub was rusty and disgusting. To say this place was loud is an understatement. The front desk employee stood in the hall until past midnight laughing with local friends. Other guests slammed doors and yelled down the hall, ahhem, echo chamber, all night. Sure, it’s a budget place but sleeping in my car would have felt safer and quieter.
