Motel 6 Sutherlin, OR - I-5

The rooms looked nice, although they were small. TV was on top of a giant cabinet about 8 feet tall or so, making it hard to watch and control. The floors were dirty, but the showers were top quality. Toilet had poop stains on it.

Bed was well cleaned, scratches on shower wall that look like hair but aren’t, heat lamp was broken. Was able to book in the middle of the night when all other hotels were full, decent service.

The staff was super nice. The outside of the hotel was nice, but that’s where it ended. There was a smell that permeated the entire hotel…a musty, sweaty, dirty smell. It was in the room! The room was seemingly clean, but that musty, dank and dirty smell was everywhere. I actually didn’t realize how bad it was until I had been driving for about an hour and realized the smell was all over me! I had a shower before going to bed and felt clean and smelled fine. But after sleeping in the bed, the stank was all over me. I have never been so thankful for a shower when I got home. ||Motel 6 is a budget hotel I realize, but I’ve always have had great experiences. Always clean and for the most part, a comfy, quick stop on my travels. The Sutherlin one didn’t hit the mark.

Staff was very kind and overall what was expected from a motel 6 for the amenities. But the room was filthy. They kindly changed my room but there was still a smell unfortunately. The one good thing was the water pressure in the shower! 10/10 for that!

Close to and easily visible from I-5. My room was clean and in good condition. The 1970s color scheme was garish and the wood floors lacked much sound deadening. But the staff member working that night was personable and efficient and though very basic the room was comfortable.
