Motel 6 Porterville, CA

We had a pretty good experience - chose this place for the really low price, so shouldn't ask for much. A little thrown by how tiny the rooms really are cause their pictures are deceiving, but pleased that the room looked clean upon arrival. The staff was really nice - gave us extra pillows and blankets when we asked - and made good coffee each morning in the lobby. Not very peaceful at all - people walking by our windows were easy to hear & kept waking us up. Still tried to keep an open mind, but we were really bummed out when we discovered there was no hot water either morning (ran and ran the shower & tap, but only got to "luke warm").

I had a very good experience during my stay here. Friendly staff and room was very clean, I also like the coffee every morning. I highly recommend this motel 6 to others.

Positive: Quiet times are observed. Air conditioning is top notch! Negative: Stranger knockin on my door late night. Shower curtain doesnt keep the water out.

For the price, there's nothing to complain about. There's no minibar in the room, as is usual for places like this. The main problem was that the air conditioner was right on the bed and couldn't be adjusted, so we had to turn it off at night. Luckily, it was not to hot. Other than that, everything was clean, and the service at the front desk was good! There didn't seem to be many people and it was pretty quiet (we slept on the second floor).

They don't accept pets so I didn't get to stay here. But parking lot was filled with some other business stuff. Just an odd vibe.
