Motel 6 Odenton, MD - Fort Meade

I stayed at Motel 6 in Odenton, MD near Fort Meade, and it was a rough night—I’ll give it a 2 out of 5 stars. The heater wasn’t working at all, even after I mentioned it, so the room and floor were freezing cold the whole time. I had to take sheets from the other bed (there are two beds in the room) and wrap myself up in double sheets just to stay warm—two sheets on top of what was there, but it still wasn’t enough. The bed itself wasn’t comfortable, felt lumpy and old. Ended up catching a cold from the chill, which ruined my stay. From what I’ve seen in other reviews online (like on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Booking.com), this seems common—people complain about maintenance issues like broken fixtures, sticky floors, clogged sinks, and rooms that aren’t always clean or well-kept. Positive: It is directly across the street from the base, so the location is very convenient. Negative: They did not, in fact, leave the light on for me. In spite of both calling and notifying them in writing that we would be arriving very late, when we arrived they had cancelled our reservation. The bathroom door was missing a hinge. Disappointing.

Nice location, clean accommodations, no bad element here. The old guy at the front desk doesn't speak good English and you're in a little room with a window trying to communicate with an ice machine behind you through glass to someone who doesn't understand English. ||Other than that, loved it here

My husband and I have stayed at motel 6 for many years and have not had very many issues. The maids usually bring me towels and sheets but I have always cleaned my own room. We have had to take the sheets and towels to the laundromat ourselves. We are in Maryland on business and work nights. After staying here for 15 days, my husband went to the office because our key was not working and a lady started yelling at him saying we were supposed to have one bed which is incorrect because we always get two beds. She yelled we owed $9 and they needed to come in our room to clean but have not knocked on our door the whole time we have been here. Wake and my husband have never seen this lady until staying here for 15 days. That was the 16th day. The 17th day there was a very loud banging on the do

Basic accommodations. Period. The price was right, and the room was clean. But compared to other chains in the "budget range," this was lacking a few things. Pros - TV worked, with plenty of channel choices. The water in the shower was hot... There are other services nearby (like the High's convenience store). Cons- No microwave, no refrigerator, very little space for hanging clothes. No breakfast, or even coffee in the lobby area. (It looked like they used to offer that, but not now) The place could use some maintenance. Bottom sheets on the beds were not "fitted sheets," they were top sheets layed over the bottom. You get what you pay for, and we are not that fussy - just want to be safe and comfortable. However..... Next time we'll probably pay a little more.
