Motel 6 Las Vegas, NV - Strip

I’ve stayed at nearly 30 different Motel 6 locations over the years and have generally been a big fan of the brand, which is why this experience was so disappointing. This particular location in Las Vegas was unlike any other Motel 6 I’ve ever visited — and not in a good way. First red flag: they require a $125 cash deposit only. No credit card hold option. That immediately made me uncomfortable, but I proceeded anyway. Before check-in, they require you to do a room inspection with a staff member to confirm the condition of the room. While that policy alone isn’t necessarily bad, what I walked into was unacceptable. The room was dirty, smelled damp and musty, and within minutes of standing there I saw multiple roaches. I have stayed at Motel 6 and HoJo as it was for the last 30 years. Unfortunately the inept and disinterested team of customer service 'children' on the desk haven't a clue and the overall oversight of the wider area is dire. I arrived late after a long flight and unfortunately the boy on the desk couldn't see my reservation. He fully understood I'd booked due to my paperwork and receipt, but due to miscommunication between themselves and expedia it hadn't been passed over. Instead of trying to help me, fully knowing that I was a potential paying customer spending money for a 10 night stay, he put me in the street and sat on the curbside trying to find a way to solve it.. a lovely man at the old Motel 6 was helpful and also disgusted at how I was treated.. Positive: the price. Negative: Driveway hard to find. Tub so disgusting my wife refused the get in. Floors so dirty our feet got black just walking to sink. Found used band aide under sheets. All furniture was sticky. AC barely kept up during night. Had to call for remote.

Faults: there were 3 roaches in my room. Missing hangers and toilet paper roller. Walls paper thin and you could even hear through the room door. There were sharp and rusted objects like nails, screws and pins/needles in the dog areas. There’s no fridge or microwave. Highlights: no pet charge at all. Easy walking distance from the strip. Walking distance from LAS airport if you’re desperate.

Cassie is great manager and one of the best personalities one could have as leadership. I received satisfactional accomodations as always and she creates a sophisticated environment providing stewardship and professionalism not only for her hotel guest but her staff team as well. The property is kept fairly clean around the clock and you will find security often patrolling the area to keep guest safe. Fairly quiet neighborhood close to major activities and offers free parking for your stay.
