Motel 6 Lantana/West Palm Beach, FL

We booked a room via a travel website. It was close to the interstate and we were driving down from NE Georgia and thought this would be a good stopping point for our travels. We arrived at approximately 3:45 (check in is at 3). They said they didn't have any non-smoking rooms ready but we could wait. I went to the car to wait. There were people smoking in the parking lot and a lot of foot traffic. We didn't feel easy about staying, but figured it was only for one night. I went back in about 4:10. The front desk clerk said housekeeping hadn't called in, but she would check. A few minutes later she said she had a room ready and handed me a key. I wish I could give this place zero stars. We checked in around 2:30 PM and checked out by 4:30 PM because the environment was so uncomfortable and unsafe. The property felt more like a drug and prostitution hangout than a hotel for families. The room itself was disgustingly dirty and had a strange smell that made it clear cleanliness is not a priority here. We tried to make the best of it because we only wanted to let our kids swim for a bit. While we were at the pool, a person approached us behaving extremely erratically — getting in my face, bending over and twerking while loudly making passive aggressive remarks on the phone. It was such a bizarre and uncomfortable encounter that my two-year-old actually got scared and hid behind a tree. At that point we decided it wasn’t worth stay

Positive: "" Negative: When I checked in, the staff didn't tell me where the room was and I when I came back to ask after not finding it, she had to consult a map before telling me. The room had a somewhat moldy smell, and they didn't even have shampoo.

I love love here.. checking in is always hassle free, all the staff is amazing. The owner she is phenomenal always up to speed if something is not of your liking. Room was clean smelled good. Its in a great location, located across from a small plaza. Rather whatever trip your staying for you'll be pleased.

spent a 3 day weekend here recently. Pros: Cold AC, Hot showers that stay hot, Big TV with cable, comfortable beds, very well lit, very nice employees including housekeepers, washer dryer and ice machine, a decent area with Publix, McDonald's, Wawa, dollar store, all within walking distance. Cons: awkward smell in my room, towels were hard to come by, lot of people coming a going. Pros outweigh the cons and if you're traveling and need a night or two, this place is just fine.
