Comfort Inn & Suites Lantana - West Palm Beach South

This hotel is in a terrible neighborhood. I stayed here because of the location to 95 and Lake Worth, Lantana area. The whole hotel is dark and musty. Upon entering our room the hallways have a strong Cologne smell. Once in the room we noticed the floor were sticky and all the floors and carpet were dirty and dark colored. The room walls had dirt on them. The beds smelled clean, but the brown box spring covers were dirty and had white stuff on them. The headboards had hand prints all over them and grease. We had two towels to the room. No enough towels to mop up all the shower water that came out of the shower. I stayed here right after New Years and the price online of the room was 109.00. They charged me 184.00 plus $10 deposit. The check in girl asked me what my service dogs were for a

The toilet was clogged, no hair dryer, no iron. Maintenance had to plunge toilet when we 1st checked in. Stopped up 2 times later from just urine. Had to dry my hair over the heater which was difficult because my hair is very long. Asked for a hair dryer and was told they had none. Asked for an iron and was told they had none. 10 minutes later another worker (the one who checked us in) brought up an iron. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is strange that I had to email the front desk what I needed printed, even though a printer is in the settings. Hotel did a good job redecorating and cleaning up. Those blue chairs on the second floor need replacement but the idea is nice.

Wonderful staff. They got us in some hours earlier due to us having to do a change of clothes before our function. Front desk was very accommodating and Betty the house keeper in charge, said she can make it happen and she did. Thanks Betty! Pool was a little cold (it's seasonal) and the room was perfect.

Positive: Nothing Negative: TV did not work and hotel management downgraded us to a room with one bed (after we had paid a premium for two beds). They did not reimburse us for our lost upgrade which we paid for.

The woman at the counter was rude and not willing to help with issues. Also a heads up. The first parking spot is free.. after that is $15 per parking spot used! Since I was told I would have to park offsite with my truck and trailer I decided to not stay. I did not even make it 5 feet into the front door of the facility and left. But yet still getting charged a nightly rate of $175 for a hotel room that I didnt even use. After trying to get a refund apparently the owners are deciding to keep my money and will not offer any refund. After weeks of going back and forth with the company to try to get a refund for a hotel room I didnt stay in and didnt even stay on property they sre refusing a refund. What a horrible experience
