Motel 6 Huntsville, TX

Mildew. Roaches. Dirty and run-down. Long-term neglect of cleaning and maintenance. Pay the extra five or ten bucks to stay at the next-best lodging in the area. (To be fair, the lady at the front desk was friendly when I checked in. No complaints there.)

Positive: "" Negative: Cockroaches everywhere in the room , from the bed to the bathroom . it was too many cockroaches.

⚠️🪳ROACH WARNING!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! 🪳⚠️ I am not picky with hotels. I usually pick the cheapest option available and have never regretted it. I don’t mind cheap, I don’t mind a few stains… but I draw the line at roach infestations.🪳As soon as I walked in the room, I saw the bugs, and still I gave it a chance… until I tried to sleep and a roach crawled up my pillow. Then, for the first time in my life, I checked out of the hotel early and went to the Days Inn nearby. It was an extra 80 plus the 50 lost on the original reservation. Still worth it, because now my room is bug-free. Save yourself the trouble and extra money by just paying slightly more for the Days Inn, or literally any other hotel. By far the filthiest establishment I have ever stayed in. The sheets had burn holes, tears, and crumbs/dirt on them. There were clumps of hair on the floor and stuck to the towels. Every single fabric in the room had a stain on it. There were bugs left literally squished to the wall. The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a decade. I know this is a budget motel but do yourselves a favor and pay the extra $30 for another choice. I feel like I need to get checked for tetanus after staying here.

My daughter and I decided to stay the night on a trip to Huntsville, so that the kids could swim. This trip could have been made in one day, but we wanted the kids to enjoy the pool. The pool was green and the other people who "live" there, were very rude and obnoxious. Telling us we need to take our dog to the back, we had potty bags that we picked up the potty with. They apparently live there, and act as if they own the place. For the money the room was so small, and the pool being green ruined our plans. Our room was right beside the pool where there was a pretty good size puddle of stagnated water, it was green also, just laying there.
