Motel 6 Daytona Beach, FL - Speedway

I stopped here on a Saturday night after a late arrival from Sanford airport. At first, I was a bit uneasy, as it was crowded and noisy. But things settled down later, and this motel turned out to be a decent place to stay. There were minor plumbing and electrical issues, but room was clean and comfortable.

Positive: Nothing. Negative: Well, put it this way I paid for 4 nights and left after 1. You shouldn't even carry this motel in your listening. It's that bad. I want a refund on the other 3 nights.

Not good, not bad. Just a bed to sleep on and roof over your head. Clean beds, but dirty floors. The people were nice though except when they demanded entrance to our room to make sure we weren't tearing it up (we weren't, in fact we were cleaning the room ourselves). They seemed surprised that it was in good shape and left us alone the rest of our stay. ETA: Like most motels, they do charge a $100 deposit at check in. Unlike most motels, they do not return it. The room was cleaner when we left than when we checked in and our deposit still has not been returned to us 2 weeks later after claiming that they would return it within 3 days after check-out. I have been on multiple calls with the motel who says it's a corporate issue and corporate says it is up to the individual property to refun

The place was run down amd dirty. The shower surrounded was filthy amd broke, huge cracks down it , hair and other debris in tub. We only need a place to sleep one night and we made due but definitely won't come back.

We were trapped by a storm and this was the first safe port. Even so, it was a horrible experience. First, we were charged about double what was posted online. The room smelled gross, with rust and other discolorations on the floors and walls. The beds were harder than the floor. The door didn't quite fit, and after I shooed out a little lizard, I had to use a towel along the bottom to seal it. We used a plastic chair between the beds to set up a cpap machine since no table was provided. There is no ice available on the premises. The only good features were relatively clean towels and a McDonald's next door. If visability hadn't been zero, we would have gone somewhere else.
