Beautiful campground, plenty of space at sites, fire ring with grill, hot showers, hiking trails nearby, Thorpes creek and schoolhouse ridge, nice scenic paths, Bathrooms could be cleaner as far as spiders and bugs, but it is the wilderness No Campground host that we could see, Wilson Creek area has been highly affected by Hurricane Helene, but Betsy's Ole Country Store and Coffeys General Store are open, signs are up along the recreation area prohibiting swimming and wading but for safety reasons due to debris from Helene I'll be back

Excellent tent campground (also for small campers). No water or AC which is what we like. Two bathrooms with showers. So many trails within a 20 minute drive.. and the loop trail 7 mile around the campground is very nice (the part of the trail just north of the campground needs to be cleared due to the hurricane so it's a bit tricky right now).

I came out on behalf of a friend to do a wellness check on a waterfall they hold dear, following Hurricane Helene. I’m happy to report that the waterfalls and pools are still intact, offering a breathtaking experience just a short walk down Thorps Creek Trail. The campground was clean and open to the public. I’m already looking forward to returning. This is a gem of a quiet campground nestled in the Pisgah National Forest

Good campsite, Although we stayed here because they had showers, bathrooms, and grills! We had site 15 which did not have a grill only a fire pit which was too deep for grilling, we stayed Saturday and Sunday night and by Saturday night the garbage containers were packed and both bathrooms had no toilet paper! thankfully we had paper towels! I would stay again but not knowing that they will maintain the facility properly, probably not! park service should return my money.

Excellent campground. The hosts were amazing… telling us local history, etc.. Very clean bathrooms with hot showers. Short walk to whichever site you’re at, there are two sets of bathrooms. Sites were roomy, flat and spaced far enough from each other for privacy. Dogs allowed. No cell service, which was actually nice. Fire pit, bbq grill and picnic tables at every site. Nice, short walk on a trail that leads to some very scenic spots.
