This review is for October of 2025. I was so mad that I didn’t write a review at the time. Don’t stay here. The codes they give you don’t work . Instructions are lengthy ad nauseam. Katie says that code hasn’t worked in a long time. Why give out codes that don’t work . You call the number given and are then told to call another number because that number is the previous owner. You call the new number , get voicemail, and the mailbox is full. No one answers the ring buzzer for the 3 doors. . I stand outside in the dark for 15 minutes getting mosquito bites. This building is not secure . I couldn’t get in , but some neighbors helped me , they knew the code. So I suspect that everyone around must know the code, just not the actual guests. Very unprofessional. Stay somewhere else. Coffee pod

If you seek a unique experience delivered by an owner who seeks to bring ideas, people and business to this super friendly town, The Morguen Toole Hotel is right for you. The value is incredible and I'd stay again for sure. If stairs are an issue for you, this may not be the best choice.

I love to find unique places and this fit the bill. |Myersdale is a small town on the Gap.|The place originally built as a tool shop and a morgue. It was purchased and made into a popular bar/restaurant hotel. It was again purchased and is undergoing renovation. That being said. The restraunt was not functional. and there was a lot of construction stuff around. The check in was a little confusing, as there is no staff on site. There was a bad smell in the hallways. And carpets was a little gross in hallways. Once I figured things out a bit I was good. In the evening I was the single only person in the building. That was a little creepy but I’m ok with creepy. |The power went out in my room that evening and could locate no one. I called the hotel number and got a vm and the mailbox was full

One of our favorite stops along the GAP. Great location in an amazing historic building. Stayed in the Hoover Suite and impressed again with the spaciousness, comfort and charm of it. The new owners were in the process of renovating several additional spaces in the building - looking forward to seeing those on our next GAP trip!

Comfy beds, great customer service, wonderful family-like-staff. The architecture is absolutely stunning, I've never seen anything like it. They put their heart into making this into a place for people of all ages. And I’m so excited for the upcoming restaurant! 10/10
