Moose Hillock Camping Resorts - NY

Beautiful campgrounds. While a bit pricey, you get what you pay for. Sites are very large and private. The grounds are well kept. The bathrooms and showers are the best maintained we have been to. For 25 cents, you get an awesome hot shower with plenty of water flow for a reasonable time in a private very clean stall. Staff here are very amicable and efficient and plentiful. Cafe and camp store prices are high but the food quality at the small snack stand is great. The large heated pool with two slides is really enjoyable. Could use a bit of maintenance only for highlights like the night lights on the skull and the 'sprays' on the decorative rocks that no longer work. However, those don't detract from the pure enjoyment you get in the pool. Lots of extra events for participation.

Location is key! Great location, what they had for staff there was friendly. Sites are huge and make it really easy to back a RV in. The water slides and pool were every kids dream. The events were great, and we loved the movie in the pool. When you first got there it felt like there were a lot of rules, but they are pretty relaxed as long as you’re not acting like a jerk. Golf carts were fun, pricey but not needed if you are on a “budget” There is parking at the pool area for vehicles. We would camp with moose hillock again, but I wouldn’t pay the extra to lock in my site. All the sites are really nice.

Beautiful big sites, great pool, movies and music by the pool nice snack bar/ice cream shack. But very expensive. $200 if yo want to lock in site, $ if you arrive even a hour earlier than check in, $10 to wash and dry one load of laundry, daily resort fee and there was another daily fee I can't remember. Oh .25 to use the shower. I get your in it to make money but this was almost $200 a night to bring my own bed and bathroom to park it on there property for one night. Yes the place was very well kept and people working were quite friendly but its out of my league for cost. Disney World wasn't this expensive.

Went for the Lake George Ren fair. Had a nice time. The event was small but fun. Whip guy was a hoot.. A+ job.. (have him back next year plz) the vendors were great. Loads of stuff to look at and sample. Hope they donit again next year. I may plan to stay over and go both days.

Spent about a week here towards the end of August. Exceptional private sites. Site 133 accommodated our 45ft 5W with ease. Lots to do for the kids and very cool golf carts available as an extra. It’s a bit pricey but well worth it for young families. We will definitely be returning very soon. Close enough to all the ADK activities and Rutland VT but just enough removed to avoid the hustle and bustle of the town. Staff has been very friendly, pool is great and the food was even good from the cafe. Thank you Moose Hillock!
