My husband and I stayed at Moore House Inn and we had a wonderful time! We stayed one night in Room 1 for a day trip skiing at Snowshoe, and we couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation. Due to it being low season, it felt the whole BnB was empty except for us! The entire BnB felt personally and tastefully decorated, it was well heated, and highly supplied with snacks/toiletries/amenities. There were games and books in the common areas and a decent selection of pastries, oatmeal’s, yogurts, teas, milks, snacks, etc. for breakfast. Our room was simple and extremely comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and it was a huge relief to see that there was a mini fridge in the room for our road trip foods. The bathroom was stunning and showed how much Caley dedicates to maintaining a comfortab
We loved our stay at Moore House Inn & Cabins! It was the perfect home base for our travels in the beautiful West Virginia mountains. The Inn is surrounded by the most wonderful riding, hiking and sightseeing! Situated in the Monongahela National Forest it is near the Greenbrier River Trail, Falls of Hills Creek, Cass Scenic Railroad State Park and so many other interesting sites! Caley and Rob were wonderful, attentive hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in the Milroy Cabin. It was a cozy home away from home! The cabin has a full kitchen and large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great in the cabin! What I loved most of all was the back porch and the porch swing! The setting is so serene and we'd occasionally see deer running through the t
The Moore House was a delightful respite during our fast 4 day visit to the Greenbrier trail and Cass. It reminded me of home, with the slight scent of woodsmoke outside, our spotless room, and the help yourself food for breakfast that is actually available all day! The queen bed was supremely comfy, which is what two old people needed after long days on the trail, and the quiet location was soothing to me. Staying at the Moore House was the perfect decision, and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a beautiful place to stay while traveling in the Marlinton area. Such a wonderful place!
We had a wonderful stay at the Moore House Inn & Cabins. Caley, the innkeeper, warmly welcomed us and shared the charming history of the property. Our room was beautifully updated, featuring a remodeled bathroom, hardwood floors, tall ceilings, and vintage-style touches like glass doorknobs and button light switches. The inn was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the setting peaceful yet conveniently close to town and local attractions. The breakfast area was well-stocked, and the shared spaces were cozy and inviting. Though our stay was short, we can’t wait to return and try another room!
I spent two peaceful weekend nights in the recently updated Room 5 at the Inn. I was in town for a race, so I was out for most of the two days but enjoyed the little time I had there. The Inn is in a quiet, picturesque setting very close to town and the Greenbrier River Trail. Parking and self-service check-in was a breeze. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The WiFi worked well. There’s a refrigerator in the room, which was much appreciated. Breakfast foods and coffee/tea/juice are available 24 hours a day in the common area, which also has plenty of space to relax. I highly recommend the Inn and wish I had more time there to enjoy it.
