Montfair Resort Farm

The place was beautiful. The cottage was next to a lake. It had a small grill outside and benches. Inside, there was a double bed, a bunk bed, and a futon. Bathroom had standard amenities. The kitchen was furnished with a oven, coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, utencils, fridge, glasses, and mugs, cutting board, knife, mitten etc. all you need is food that you can cook there. There's a small tv where you can log in your streaming services. There is a large gas heater and small portable heaters for the room. The welcome email has directions to the cottage, the directions were easy to follow. Don't rely on Google maps. Cons: low water pressure on shower and the place is a bit difficult to navigate at night due to darkness and scant lighting. So if you are checking in, best to arrive while t

Great little cabin in the woods. One bedroom and a sleeper futon couch, shower room and kitchen/diner/living area. Unfortunately our WiFi was down but it encouraged us to play Scrabble and read the books on the shelves. A good TV with lots of channels. Fridge/freezer with coffee, teabags and creamer for a couple of days. Full crockery and silverware for four people. Linens and towels in cupboard. Everything was very clean, three heaters kept us nice and warm.

Lots of relaxing time. Cottage was clean and ready for us. We used the futon couch and it was soft with no issues. Extra bedding was in closet. Staff gave great directions to things in the area.

The only complaint is that I didn't have cell service, and the router for the wifi was not working. I think it was from a stripped wire. If the wifi worked, everything would have been perfect. The cottage was beautiful, though.

We went just after Labor Day and before Leaf Peeping Season. So, we had an excellent rate, and could not have asked for a nicer upscale-rustic cabin. Even the baseboards are clean! 😄 Lisa, the manager is very kind and professional. One couldn't ask for an easier check-in / check-out experience. Everything is very well spelled-out as far as how to use the heat or a/c, appliances, lake equipment, etc. There's no guesswork or chance of making an unintentional mistake. Also, there's a big notebook full of things to do in the area, and a closet that's well-stocked with games in case someone wants something to do on a slower day. These folks really have guest comfort, convenience, and questions covered! ✨️
