Montesino Ranch, Lodging & Events

My family had the absolute best time at the beautiful Montesino Ranch. We only live 20 mins away, but we felt like we were in a different world!! Our kids both LOVED the ranch and were so happy and joyful (and well behaved, ha!) all weekend! My daughter didn't want to leave and keeps asking to go back. We stayed in an upstairs studio super cute, clean and roomy. The bed was incredibly comfortable and everything we needed was provided (extra sheets + towels, bathroom w/ shower and kitchenette w/ sink, fridge, coffee maker, plates, utensils, cups, etc.). We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the BBQ/play area, the barn, meeting & feeding the horses, picking flowers, watching butterflies, dipping our toes in the river, and the beautiful scenery from the lookout point. I had a fabulous time staying at the Farmhouse. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing, along with beautiful scenery and several walking trails to explore. I thought the farmhouse was super cute and cozy. The backyard was excellent for me and my mini Aussie. It has a terrific cross breeze and tons of birds for watching. The pool was in close proximity and I always felt I had plenty of privacy. The property has so many positives. I will definitely be returning.

Had my wedding here and please do not book your wedding here if Pam is still in charge! She is losing her memory. If she is there when you talk to her about planning, please do these things…1) record every conversation, 2) send an email follow up after every conversation to document EVERYTHING she promised you, 3) stay on top of her as she is losing her mind!! What a big mess my wedding day was. So many promises broken. The only thing they have going for them is the location is really nice for a country wedding. But do you want the headache of dealing with someone who breaks all their promises and forgets everything you agreed to? I wish I had gone with another venue for my wedding. There are so many better locations in the hill country!

We loved our stay at the Farm House at Montesino Ranch! Beautiful old house was perfect for our family with small children. The kitchen was well-equipped to prepare meals. We loved petting the sweet horse by the Lee House and feeding her carrots—and loved seeing all the mama cows with their calves. The river is a short walk away and was a fun place to splash with the kids. Wimberley downtown is a short 10min drive. Highly recommend Montesino Ranch for a quiet getaway in the hill country!

The ranch itself was beautiful and had a lot to offer. Unfortunately, we drove right into a storm and a flood so we didn't get to enjoy our time very much. We were able to make the best of it and get a few minutes in the pool when it stopped raining for about an hour which the kids loved! There is a nice seating area for s'more roasting, this is a shared area with the other renters who may be there but we hardly saw others so it wasn't an issue for us. There is a slide and a jungle gym along with a push toy for the little ones and a tree swing! Our little boy loved the push mower, I was so happy there were a few toys for the kids... they saved me my sanity hah! The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would need from lighters to foil, and even had an extra razor and toothbrush which
