I stayed at modernist in the pines with 3 friends and we really enjoyed the stay. Glenn is a great host, very sweet, helpful and always worried if everything was ok. The house, rooms and bathroom were very clean despite one other review on this website. |It's a 2 min walk to the beach, 3 min to harbour with lots of opportunities to be private and quiet as well as to go out or chill on the terrace. We loved it and we'll be back!

Hello travelers. I stayed recently and found the accommodation reasonably well located, 5 mins from the harbour/shops/scene and from the beach on the opposite, south side of the island. I paid what I consider to be a premium thinking I would get smart, tidy, clean accommodation. On the contrary. Whilst the host was pleasant, the accommodation was lacking. Not much more than a shed, it was dirty, poorly maintained, had a hostel feel and the main deck areas looked like a badly arranged second hand furniture sale. Wifi did not work, air con poor, shower sad! Bed sheets were clean and room was tidier than common areas. Quite simply over priced and misrepresented. Go as a last resort, and pay half what is being asked for.

I stayed in the Pines recently at the Modernist in the Pines home. The owner Glenn is charming and the property is great. It's very close to town so you can wake up and go for a coffee, get to tea quickly, and not drag your luggage too far from the boat! ||I would definitely stay here again.

The place is great. The rooms are very stylish furnished and Glenn, the host was very nice and always helpful. The atmosphere in the house was warm and welcoming and the location of the guesthouse is great: 2 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to the harbour. Love the place!
