Miranda Gardens Resort

We spent a few nights at the Miranda Cottages. The receptionist was most helpful, professional, very amiable & welcoming. It was out of season so was very quiet. The rooms are impeccably clean. Everything was provided that we wanted - coffee, tea, sweetener, microwave, refrigerator with a freezer, coffee makers. We loved staying in the redwoods around our cottage & loved the character of the interior. Very convenient as a base from which to explore the area. I highly recommend.

First the very good: You cannot beat the location. Heart of the redwoods and only 1/2 a mile away from the Stephens Grove Loop Trail. The other trails are just up the road.|It’s within walking distance to a convenience store/gas station, a coffee shed, and a family restaurant and a fancier diner. ||The very cute older ‘grandma’ cottages are quiet with not much noise from the main road. We rented cottage #6 for 4 days which is at the back of the resort and has a back deck overlooking the forest. ||The bed was very comfortable, although the antique chairs were more for looks. We were worried that the living room couch wouldn’t hold us as it creaked and bowed. This is my absolute favorite getaway spot. I’ve been here 3 times & I will continue to come here for years to come. The staff, the location, the rooms, are absolutely magical. We love you Miranda Gardens!

There just isn't another place like Miranda Gardens. I have property that I come to fairly frequently up here, but I stay at the cottages. There is one that has a kitchen extra room with beds (in addition, of course.. ) that I've contemplated trying to get them to sell me. If you're looking to escape to beauty, and the quiet of the forest - with the Diner right across the road, and a gas station quality food mart right next door. You couldn't do better than this - its old school Humboldt at its best. I literally dream of the place!

Stayed in Cabin 7 with a full kitchen and a large covered back porch with table and chairs. Also a sitting area in the front. Love the older style furniture and kitchen cabinets and appliances. Everything is well kept and very clean. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. The grounds are well kept and lovely for hanging out on the property. Winter heaters work well and should be good in colder temps. If you love eclectic and antiques this is the place. Very convenient to travel the Avenue of the Giants. Two restaurants across the street and a little coffee place.
