Middleton Hotel

This place is awesome. Whoever decorated has got an eye. However, I only have two notes for you guys. Paper and pen in each room. and floors swept between people because I have so much dirt on my bed because the floors are coated with the gravel from outside and it wasn’t from me cause there’s lots of it.

Cute location in downtown Graham; locals not as fond of the “hipster vibes and aesthetic” even though it brought a large group to town for a couple weddings. Shipping container rooms were comfortable, warm even during a fall Texas rain storm. Downfall was the gravel path to the room, leading to mud and messy room floors. Service was self check-in via keypad lock, group rental style housekeeping. A warm robe was provided to the room to use.

As others note, this unique (boutique?) downtown property is well-located, clean, with beds that are very comfy and a/c that works extremely well. Shower was fine with quick hot-water and decent pressure. We were in #8 which is handicapped and I believe had a slightly larger bathroom and smaller bedroom area than other rooms. Also, the bed was against a side wall rather than centered as in other rooms, which meant one person had to crawl over the other. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. ||The hotel is very welcoming of dogs, but our large retriever was a bit claustrophobic in the room and barely ate during our two-night stay. We were able to store our small, soft-sided hand carry bags under the bed, but a small, traditional wheeled suitcases would have taken up precious floor space.

Matt was very easy to work with on the phone, however I thought overall it left a little to be desired. Look at the pictures very well, it feels even smaller in person. I'm glad I was by myself, is how small it was and would immediately feel crowded with 2. My room (14) was clean, very tidy and the a/c worked great. The bathroom mirror, shelf and sink situation was a bit haywire. Good luck trying to wash your face. I would've put the shelf over the toilet and mirror directly over the sink, but what do I know. Also a shelf of some kind in the shower for soap bottles would have been nice. The biggest disappointment was the plastic chair. Great for tieing your shoes but that's about it. Stopped by The Middleton after a day of shopping in Graham, and it was the perfect spot to relax. The place is clean, inviting, and has a laid-back, stylish vibe. I had the whipped espresso, and it was absolutely delicious—smooth, rich, and just the pick-me-up I needed before heading home. The attached hotel looks really cool, and I’d definitely consider staying there in the future. Next time, I’ll plan to stop for an adult beverage at the hotel bar too! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
