We stayed one night in the Plum Creek middle campground. It was perfect, nobody else around. We had a clean vault toilet to ourselves. Weather was ideal in early September, cool night clear enough to see the stars. The open range cattle were curious and came near but didn't bother us. Great little spot to stop when passing through!
