Blue West Campground

Amazing free camping spot up on the cliff overlooking the beautiful Lake Meredith. It was a hot day but up on the cliffs edge there was a nice breeze to keep me cool. The shaded picnic table area was great too. So quiet. What a place for sunrises, sunsets, moonrises, and peace and quiet.

If you would like to me alone in a quiet place this is the right camping ! Beautiful views and small hikes . It doesn’t have showers I suggest for you to bring your own or drive 40 minutes to shower in the other campgrounds . Be cause with the snakes on swimming in the lake

Very very quiet. Spots are very spread out. Only People here for the majority of the week. There are a lot of flies….. bring sticky traps…. Or spray…. Or bug nets bc they are relentless.

Pretty nice state run campground surrounding Boutte lake not many direct waterfront campsites but the facilities here are pretty top-notch including showers flush toilets covered playgrounds covered picnic tables no suit no sewage at the campsite but there is a dump station there are several stores within biking area it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere but the water is really nice and the beach is a really nice great for a one night stop or if you have a boat a few days more

It's a great view steep access to the lake. Blue West Chimney Hollow. Great for stargazing, camping. Take plenty of bug spray.
