Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ponchatoula/Hammond

If you can find a different hotel do it!! The rooms are not clean good at all. We stayed two nights and the shower was so gross no one took a shower. there was stains on everything. I feel the hotel has potential but they need to do the work and they aren’t.

Reserved online. Arrived late. When we arrived no one at the desk and no where to be found. Called the hotel. It rang. Knocked on office door. No answer. After approx 50 minutes, called the national number for Wyndham. They were able to reach someone. Lady comes from outside and said she had been with a “friend.” I saw a man in the lobby as I walked in. My husband advised he had been waiting over 45 minutes. She said she must have just missed him. Real safety concern for all when the front door is left unlocked and no one available. Room was awful. Everything is out of service. Breakfast orange juice was warm. On our way out, my husband spoke with the front desk clerk and gave a written complaint for supervisor. I would guess the person we were speaking with was m

The staff hotel and amenities were terrific. I had one small issue and they were able to take care of it. ||Issues |Ice machines were not working |The cleaning supplies had an unusual smell/scent that I had a reaction to (everything was very clean) |Some guests were inconsiderate (hotel cannot be responsible for these individuals)

Positive: They did have one lady at deck that took care of us when we asked. Negative: They did not clean our room after the first night and when they did the next day they only just picked up a little. did not refill anything ( coffee, soap, etc. )

Mostly pleasant out of town workers. Very quiet during the days. The local businesses, including fast food restaurants are nearby. Plenty of parking. Very clean
