Clean, friendly staff, breakfast bar clean and stocked - waffle maker and hit chocolate, also 3 varieties of cereal, yogurt, bagel with cream cheese cups, jam, juices, oatmeal. Rooms clean, micro in deed, nice comfy bed though - big enough to stretch out comfortably. We could hear Dad and kids playing in hallway was my only gripe. Blessed not for long and it was bad weather - so... I would stay again for sure.

My wife and I recently stayed at this property . Some things could be updated but for the value it was nice . The Staff was amazing. My wife is older and was struggling with her bag getting off the elevator . A staff member named Charles rushed over to help her and then carried her bag all the way to our truck. It was such a simple gesture that made us feel very important . The lady that was cleaning the floor we were one was extremely nice as well I believe her name was Tye. Overall we had a nice stay that was elevated by the wonderful staff

We’ve stayed at the Microtel in Gardendale many times over the years, and it’s been our go-to spot whenever we’re in the area. In fact, we’ve stayed twice in the past four weeks—and the experience remains consistently excellent!||The location is super convenient, and the rooms are always clean, quiet, and comfortable. We love their deluxe continental breakfast—there’s a great variety, and the selection of hot tea bags is a thoughtful touch we really appreciate.||Wi-Fi is strong and reliable, which makes a big difference for us. We didn’t use the pool this time around, but it’s a nice amenity to have available.||What really makes this place stand out is the amazing staff. Good enough. Room was clean, bed was comfy, nice amenities including fridge in room. Pool looked nice and well kept. Good location and they didn't jack the price up to the moon during the Barber Vintage fest weekend. Nice free breakfast, and friendly , helpful staff. Not a Ritz Carlton, but a good and quiet place for a good rest and shower. Our particular room had a malfunctioning shower head, but we survived and I expect it is tough to maintain a large number of rooms. I would stay here again no problem.

Positive: location Negative: There were 3 of us in the room so, it did feel a little tight. But otherwise it was great. Close to lots of restaurants and other shopping. Wal-Mart next door. And the the evening shift desk manager recommended 2 great non-chain restaurants!!
