Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bethel/Danbury

The hotel is pet friendly with a reasonable pet fee, but bring your own poop bags because the dispenser is always empty, or just never filled. And the dispensers in the guest bathrooms are not always checked and filled between guest stays. Just saying. Other than that, no complaints. The rooms are actually very nice, very comfortable and well furnished. The people at the front desk are always friendly and professional. The hotel is in the best place imaginable. It’s easy to get to from the highway, there are fabulous eating places you can actually walk to, if you need to shop there are businesses all around, and it’s literally 5 minutes to the gas station and the Dunkin, right next to the ramp back onto the highway. This hotel is a real find.

I’m a Diamond Hilton member but have been stuck traveling for work on my own expense for the last 15 months. This hotel is ~$80 cheaper each night and after spending over 100 nights here, that savings added up. The rooms are clean, the bed and linens are so soft, the staff is so friendly (thank you AJ) and they are available all night (I get in after midnight each time). They have free breakfast, WiFi, and good parking. The location is convenient with several places to eat within walking distance and are right off of I-84. If you need a place to stay in Danbury, this is the best value for the money.

Very pleasantly surprised. When a hotel is this affordable I don't expect much, and the place isn't in pristine luxury condition, but the room was large, comfortable and completely clean. Breakfast doesn't have pancakes or meats, but has a good selection of muffins/cereal/yogurt/fruit etc. The man on night desk was very nice also. I'm very happy with my stay for the price and would definitely stay here again.

Positive: The staff was nice and the layout of the hotel was nice. Negative: There isn't a gym at this hotel at all. the room smelt like must and stale cigarettes in the entry way, conditioner and lotion bottles were empty. , mirrors in the hotel room had huge spots on em. The "free" breakfast is a joke.

My dog and I were displaced from our home due to a burst sprinkler pipe emergency. The staff was kind and patient. They worked with me to be sure I had a photo of my ID and that my tap-to-pay card was accurate, since I left home without both! They got us in a room and lessened my stress by 1000! The location is also great, lots of food options nearby!
