Menemsha Inn & Cottages

Our stay at the Beach Plum Inn was lovely. We visited in early October, during the off-season, when the island slows down quite a bit. Many local spots close and public transportation runs less frequently. This makes it so so peaceful, but also things are a little less accessible. No matter! Sarah, one of the owners, treated us like family. This we appreciated to no end. The property has a thoughtfully untouched feel that reflects the conservation-minded care of its hosts. I also have to mention the scone with raspberry jam. It was world-class, probably the best I’ve ever had. This is no exaggeration. The cottages are perhaps a bit vintage for some, but full of charm and character. I felt the experience they provide honors the unique place that is Memensha.

We love this place. Rustic, but well cared for. The location is why we come, simply spectacular views and in a low key part of the island. Well equipped kitchens and walk to Menemsha town over boardwalk and dunes.

We have been coming here for each summer for years and we love it! It is calm and restful and the staff are welcoming & take great care of us! We have access to 2 of the most beautiful beaches: Lucy Vincent & Squibnocket. The Inn is not fancy… it is a little weathered and does not offer a full service restaurant, but it is very clean and the cottages are comfortable & very well equipped if you want to cook.. otherwise there are great restaurants & take out around. I cannot wait to come back next summer!!

Our family loves staying at Menemsha Inn and Beach Plum Inn. My husband and I were married on the property back in 2013 and now come back with our two kids almost every year. We are welcomed back like family by Virginia and Rachel who keep the place running! ||We love the secluded limited cell service feel of truly checking out and enjoying nature. The walks down to Mememsha Beach for sunset, the waves on Lucy Vincent Beach, the local restaurants, and nostalgic memories lure us back year after year. ||We also loved the Beach plum breakfast options plus Menemsha Inn canteen this year to enjoy our slow mornings sipping coffee with a view! ||Thank you for another amazing stay!

Wow… so beautiful and pure relaxation . A private retreat. Our room had views of the ocean and the best part - we had passes to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Vineyard. We will return every fall.
