Customer Reviews
4.5 experience overall. I love the atmosphere and all of the volunteers. My only complaint was seeing the amount of boogers eaten by children (and the occasional adult!!) I’m not kidding. The nose picking at this place was rampant. Be aware!! Boogers aside, I loved coming here.
January. Signed up for a 2 hour lesson through The Mountaineers and booked a day use through Meany Lodge. Lesson and meal was great! Nice volunteers! Two rope areas, bunny hill and green-blue run slope depends on how high you can go holding a moving rope. Separate sled area, kids must be accompanied by adult to do the sled. Lodge has gloves dryer, gear storage, sleds, ping pong table, board games…. Parking lot is away from the lodge. To get to the lodge, option to ride in SnowCat vehicle or grab a rope towed by snow mobile and ski in.
I've been going to Meany since I was 4 years old and I feel so lucky. The community is welcoming, supportive, and great to learn new things with. Every time I go to the lodge I have a great time and make wonderful connections! It's such a beautiful place!
Literally banger been going here since i was 5 years old. It's a place held together by the community and that's what makes it wonderful. Snow crazy Food delish bunks comfy and water refreshing. It's not for everyone but if it's your thang you'll never not come again.
Meany Lodge is 3 miles uphill from the Crystal Springs Sno-Park. It is the epicenter of snow sport pursuits by Mountaineers and their guests. The lodge has one of the oldest (since 1938) continuously operated rope tows in the country serving a couple dozen downhill runs. Getting to Meany is an adventure. I started skiing up to Meany when my kids were fuzzy bundles dropped into sleds that I towed behind me. A group of regulars religiously ski to and from the lodge. Most weeks a guided snowshoe tour comes in. The teeming hordes tow in behind TomCat. A typical Saturday is ski in the morning, group lunch in the lodge, afternoon skiing, dinner in the lodge, and an evening of socializing. Folks wander up to the dorms when they're tired and on Sunday we repeat, except immediately after PM skii
