Customer Reviews
This is a solid hotel option close to the airport. The drive to the airport is straightforward and only 10 mins. This hotel has great easy meal options with fantastic service, and a good pool and games area. The rooms a basic, but clean and tidy and great for the price - especially in Hawaii!
Positive: Nice staff Negative: Pillows were flat, bed was not comfortable. Only 2 large towels. I use one for body 1 for hair. Wgat if it was 2 persons in a double room.
Worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. I booked 2 months ahead directly on the website. I booked the updated oceanfront suite, 1 king, for 3 nights. The description said: updated marble bathroom, deep soak tub, walk-in shower, kitchen. Upon arrival on our first day, they put my fiancé and I in a standard room with 2 double beds, street view, no kitchen, and a dirty small bathroom with no tub or walk in shower. When I informed the front desk that this is not the room I paid for, I was made to believe they gave me a discount for my troubles for the first night (20% off), but in reality I was just paying for the downgraded standard room I had. I was told by front desk to come back the next day at 9am to give the cleaners 1 hour to clean our suite, and then we would get our one king sui
We booked directly from hotel website August for two nights in February. Our room was nearly $400 a night by the time taxes and fees were added. It was the most expensive and the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. The A/C wouldn’t turn off and we slept under coats and sweaters to keep warm. Our “island view” was the headlights of the jeep parked in the driveway. The hotel was full of people who obviously weren’t paying $400 a night. The staff moved us to a different room the second night. Still small- but with working A/C and a small lanai and view of the courtyard/ocean. They also credited us $50 for the first night and comped 2 breakfast buffets. The staff was great- not their fault the place was misrepresented online. I would never stay there again.
We stayed at Maui Beach Hotel for two nights as a convenient stop after landing late at night, since we wanted to be close to the airport and avoid a long drive. In that sense, the location was ideal, it’s very close to the airport, but the hotel sits at the intersection of two of the busiest streets in Kahului, which made navigating to and from the property a bit of a hassle, especially since we had a rental car. We didn’t use the pool or the on-site restaurant, as we mainly treated the hotel as a basecamp between activities rather than a destination itself. One highlight was the oceanfront courtyard, which was quite nice and offered lounge chairs where you could relax right by the water. While you can walk straight down to the ocean from the courtyard, the beach there isn’t suitable for
