Mathis Motor Inn & RV Park

Nice quiet campground. We were 1 night stop. Rate was very reasonable and when combined with military discount was a cheap night.

Rat infested the rooms don’t get cleaned they want yu to clean yourself and the rats come in every afternoon while I’m at work messing the whole room up water doesn’t go down in the sink the toilet doesn’t even flush also the water from the sink is brown even the shower water is brown when yu shower we tile the manager but she said she/ him saided she’s short staffed that that was our problem no maintenance whatsoever and the rooms are filthy

Stayed at the RV park, very quiet. Many potholes in the road. Pool is not useable.

We cannot thank Stephanie, (Manager), enough for all the help securing our stay. Due to several mishaps, it took us 3 days to make a 17 hour drive from Colorado. All Stephanie asked was for us to stay in touch with updates and she held our reservation and made adjustments to accommodate our misfortunes. We LOVED the stay. it was very quiet and out of the way which protected our privacy. Guaranteed, the next time we vacation to Padre Island, we will without a doubt stay at Mathis RV Park every time. The commute to the island is well worth the stay here.

"DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER" My wife was skeptical about staying here but was swiftly opening up to the idea while checking in with the new GM Stephanie, (a U.S Army Veteran like myself )was very warm and welcoming . The room was clean, very comfortable, and Inviting. Stephanie was also extremely accommodating. She went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable , we got to hotel super early and we were allowed to check in early at 10am, she doesn't l know how much stress she relieved by doing that. I know from personal experience that no other accommodations in the area would do that ! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to stay in Mathis, or just stopping through! The also have a RV park located in the back !
