Matador Oceanfront Resort

Best location, start of the boardwalk, a couple blocks from the fracture prune, Russos and the original hassels ice cream. The pool is nice and the upper observation deck is wonderful in the morning for sunrises. Firm beds if you like that, the smell of Lysol is overwhelming when you walk in to your room. Other than that it’s a great hotel, great location, great pool and great memories.

We stayed here for a long weekend Thurs-Monday. It was a full hotel, but you would never know it. Checked in early. Had second floor room right next to elevator, but you would never know it! The staff were very nice, the cleaning and maintenance crews worked very hard to keep this hotel in tip top shape. Not a piece of trash anywhere. You can tell that the owners take pride in their establishment. All different size rooms. Right on the beach. Right at the beginning of the boardwalk, with a playground right next to the hotel! Ample parking. The best feature was two deck areas to hang out. One on second floor and one on the roof!! We saw teens playing cards and a birthday celebration too. Really nice area to have a coffee in the morning or cocktail, at night! We did both! Will definitely r

Stayed there for the first time this summer. Loved it! Rooms are nice and clean. And the owners are great! So friendly and super helpful. Great location at the north end of the boardwalk. And steps from the beach! We will be back!

Honestly this really is the best location for a family, the hotel has parking and is just conveniently nestled adjacent to the public parking lot, it’s a 3-5 minute walk to get on the sand of the beach, no busy streets or boardwalks to get past. There’s a playground also adjacent to the hotel. The service was stellar, and the front desk is incredibly helpful. I would say the room is a little dated, no smart tv, clunky kitchenette that makes it difficult to use the outlets when things are being cooked on the stovetop. But otherwise, everything was clean and spacious.

We stayed for a weekend here at the Matador and it was perfect for the 2 of us. We had a king suite which was the perfect size and it was conveniently located right near the elevator and stairs. The room and bathroom were clean. Our room had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker but we only used the fridge. How could I forget that it’s right at the start of the boardwalk on 16th and super close to the beach! A huge plus! The pool was clean and relaxing as well. I’d say the only bad thing was that the parking spaces were narrow and not everyone stayed within the lines making it hard to get a spot. Rob checked us in and he was so so nice and welcoming and seemed like he genuinely cared about our experience! We will definitely be back when we come to Wildwood again!
