Maple Island Resort - Seasonal Campground ONLY

Maple Island Resort is not much by today's high priced all inclusive modern day resorts. It's the kind of place that is somewhere between a rustic lake experience and camping. We started going to the resort twenty years ago with our young sons and our dogs. We all have grown up alto and changed over the years. Our two sons honed their fishing and boating skills and we shared the resort with many of their friends.||||This summer marks a significant change in our vacationing, both for this summer and the future. This summer our oldest son brought his daughter, our grand daughter (third generation at the resort) to the resort for the same experiences. As expected it was a wonderfilled time at the lake boating and fishing. Sadly the resort is closing at the end of this summer season.

We have spent over 10 summers at Maple Island Resort. Maple Lake is one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in an area known for it's quality lakes. The cabins are very basic but as we spend most of our time outdoors for our annual weekly vacations in Alexandria, who cares?!! We love the place, the fishing, the quiet and the good friends we have made over the years. We are booked for next year and can't wait.
