MainStay Suites Stanley

Very nice location. The decor is fun. The employees I came in the contact with were professional and helpful. I love that they have kitchen items to loan, at the front desk, so you could make more options for meals and outside grills and booties for your shoes to keep their carpets clean. Please clean the carpets in the rooms more often. The sanitizers were also working. The breakfast needs boiled eggs and to be kept up with better. The fruit was not very good nor a variety.

Rooms were large and well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price was fair. I liked having the bar open with food and drinks. Breakfast food could be better, especially the eggs and coffee

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It’s just upon my arrival, I noticed stains on the sheets and human feces residue on the toilet seat. I did bring it up to front desk and they were than willing to clean the room more thoroughly and change the sheets. Another issue, is that I requested a quiet room. But my neighbor in room 325 was playing loud music in the middle of night. That I didn’t get a proper sleep. I also developed a rash on my body either from hard water or the starchy sheets that were changed. But I know mainstay suites did the best they could to make everyone comfortable.

I’ve tried every hotel in Stanley ND, Mainstay takes the cake. They are the nicest, cleanest hotel in the city. If you are looking for a place to stay this is it. They have a nice little bar downstairs that serves pizza and wings as well.

Positive: Location, quiet, basically clean Negative: The breakfast was pretty average- my only recommendation is to offer more foods that people who prefer whole grain, non-sugar, nutritious food are drawn to. Many people today are much more conscious of those nutritional aspects.
