Main Oak Manor

More like 10/10! Charles, Vicki and the greeting committee of kitties made me feel like I was at home! I was traveling a long way, alone and my trip took some unexpected turns and they showed genuine care for my safety. I could tell from the moment I pulled up that the house was full of love and felt it as soon as I walked in the door. The house is absolutely beautiful, clean, cozy and filled with so much history. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept on! I really had a hard time leaving! Point Pleasant is now one of my favorite places thanks to Main Oak and I look forward to my next stay! Thank you so much!!!

I was on a cross country trip for job and figured I would take the opportunity to visit Point Pleasent. Not knowing for sure if I would make it there the day that I did I had not booked anywhere prior to that evening. And I'm glad I didn't. After getting to the mothman statue around 7pm on a Sunday evening I began looking for local hotels and Main Oak Manor popped up on Google maps. I gave them a call and luckily there were rooms available, they would just need a short time to get it ready and gave me recommendations to grab dinner in town at. Thank you so much for being able to accommodate me so late. When I got there the house was gorgeous, simple but elegant. Stayed here one night in my travels. Very clean and comfortable home, with many time period furnishings, and moderncomforts too. Quiet neighborhood is minutes away from historic downtown. Hosts Charlie and Vicki were nice as can be and very welcoming. Made me feel right at home, was as if I was visiting family or old friends. Porch cat was friendly too. Highly recommended, I will stay there again if ever in the area.

The atmosphere is so cute and pleasant. It's right next to Mothman and the Mothman Museum! The owners were so sweet and were prepared to make your stay as best as possible. Also, the little notebook was a nice touch.

We stayed two nights at Main Oak Manor. This beautiful, historic mansion has been upgraded with modern amenities for a charming spot to rest, refresh and recharge after a day’s tourist activities (we attended Bob Evans Farm Festival). Each guest room is furnished in period antiques and is tastefully and whimsically decorated in a different theme. Charlie and Vicki were excellent hosts, providing individual attention and thoughtful (and delicious) personal touches to make our stay memorable. Plus it’s an easy walk down Main Street to the many downtown Point Pleasant shops and restaurants.
