Magical Moments

There are several cabins with this name so to clarify, the address for this review is 407 Montview Way, Gatlinburg. The location is great. The price is very reasonable. The driveway is steep but you get used to it. The list of problems is long….. TV in living room is tiny. The window blinds are useless at night. If you have a light on inside, you are in full view. The porch swing is nice but can’t be used when it’s raining due to the large hole in the roof above it. Theres another hole in the porch roof over the front door. On the back deck there is a lot of rotted wood. The hot tub jets only work on one setting(low). The thermostat for the heater AC/Heater works but you have to have patience. To make the AC turn off one time I had to turn it up to 85. After a long rain shower the roaches

Still here for 2 more days. Have waited a whole year to get this cabin. It is absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely rent this one again. Water pressure could be better. The TV in the living room needs a new remote. This cabin is remote yet so close. The views are awesome.

It was cute and the location was good, but I have a few complaints. This cabin says it sleeps 6, but there were only 4 towels. Towels were a constant issue because there were 5 of us. If it sleeps 6, there should be at least 6 towels. There was no spatula in the kitchen which was a problem when it came to making grilled cheese sandwiches and fried eggs. The pillowcases in the master bedroom did not look clean, and the hot tub leaks so we had to keep putting water in it. Also, the people in one of the cabins nearby were partying pretty hard and were loud late at night. It’s not exactly a “secluded peaceful cabin alone in the woods” situation, but not sure you’d find that anywhere in Gatlinburg. The cottage was very clean. Appliances could be updated. Toaster didn't have a bottom tray, microwave door didn't close properly, and oven didn't have a tray on the bottom. Sink in kitchen and upstairs bathroom leak. Upstair shower had no pressure. Upstairs fan was very squeaky, couldn't use. Coffee filters didn't fit coffee maker. Traffic was quite loud and barking dogs next door was annoying. Pretty view and nice cabin. For the price, tv channels need to be updated on all tv's. We drove 9 hours to stay in a serene place and were slightly disappointed. Check in and out were virtual and never met or spoke to a human. If management went there they could see the issues and perhaps they could bring some batteries for all of the clocks. Just think people should know. We stayed at the 259 Money

We recently stayed at the Magical Moments cabin in Gatlinburg. To say our experience was not the best would be an understatement. There are warning notes all over the cabin, telling you of imposing fines. $65 for dishes, $350 for the hot tub, $200 for the rollaway cots with specific instructions, $50 if you don't take out the trash, the washing machine, etc. Since you feel all of these notes everywhere are necessary, some of them even seeming rude with capitalized, bold letters...maybe you shouldn't be in the cabin renting business? I have a few tips for you...fix the mold in the main floor bathroom shower, the wood has mold spots all over it, as well as the wood above the hot tub, it's covered in mold spots.
