Customer Reviews
I had a meeting in Pomeroy, so I decided to stay at Maggie's Garden and it was the perfect choice. LeeAnn is a wonderful host who knows how to provide a welcoming and comfortable stay. The food was delicious and the bed, linens and furnishings were all high-quality and very clean. It was definitely a restful and enjoyable time!
It's hard to explain how comfortable we felt from the moment we walked in the door at Maggie's Garden Bed & Breakfast. We had a lovely bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and coffee-making area...it felt like a little apartment. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfasts in the garden were wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time chatting with Leanne (aka Maggie) as we enjoyed one more cup of coffee. It was such a nice place to come back to on each of the three nights we stayed. We were a little worried as the outside temperature climbed to 105 degrees and there was no air conditioning...but it turned out to be no problem at all. To our surprise, the rooms stayed very cool all day and night. Staying there was a charming experience. I don't know if we'll ever get back to Pome
I had a lovely and restorative stay at Maggie's Gardens. I was passing through by bicycle and she was willing to prepare a room for me last minute and offered her beautiful garden space for me to relax and read in for the afternoon. The room and shared spaces were clean and had everything I needed-- comfy bed, fridge space, fluffy towels, etc. And breakfast in the morning in the garden was dreamy! Complete with fresh (made the day before) apricot jam. She even sent me with some fresh fruit for the road (I had been lamenting the offerings of gas stations as a bicycle traveler). High recommend if you're passing through the area!
My husband and I enjoyed an anniversary weekend at Maggie's Garden Bed and Breakfast! The homemade preserves were a highlight of the breakfast. The weather was beautiful for dining out at the table in the garden surrounded by so many kinds of flowers. Leann is creative and welcoming in every way! As it happened, we were thankful we were the only guests this weekend so we did not have to share the bathroom or the living area.
I'm very glad Maggie was able to accommodate us at the last minute (reservations recommended)! The lovely gardens in back of the house were in bloom and created a shady oasis on a hot summer day. Maggie has led a pretty amazing life and has interesting stories to tell. The rooms are 3 or 4 bedrooms on the basement level of the house, which stayed cool despite the summer heat. There is a small shared study, a shared bathroom off it, and a small galley area with microwave and fridge. Tall people, people of size and the long-legged may find the quarters a bit too close, but as a short person I was perfectly cozy. Very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
