Made in the Shade RV Park and Campground

My husband and I are first-time RVer's and decided solely by chance to try Made in the Shade as our first destination. We could not have been more pleased staying at this family-friendly park. The managers, Terry and Lisa, were incredibly down to earth and friendly. Terry helped us get set up, answered our questions, and eased our anxieties as we started to adjust to our new lifestyle. The park itself is quiet and peaceful. The laundry room is clean with easy to use machines that take credit card payments. There is a lovely community firepit, a dog park, and a small playground. They are working continually to make improvements and there were big changes just in the month we were there. I was surprised that the wifi worked so well being in a remote area. Charged me $400 for a week after we left due to the rude “camp management” who confronted us as soon as we pulled up to our camper about the dogs barking during the day when we went to run errands. I had left a blind open so I understand they probably barked every time he walked by, no one bothered to contact me about them while we were gone so I could have come back. He was also drinking when he approached us and blared music and sang as loud as he could until 10pm that night. The campground is all gravel and dirt, beware before you pay the extra money for the premium sites. Not worth it.

I stayed here from March-July with my 3 school age children. It was so peaceful. We stayed while transitioning to our new house. All of the shade trees give us a sense of privacy and certainly helped with the Georgia summer heat. Would recommend!! We were comfortable leaving our 500.00 pellet grill, space X starlink internet and anything else we had if value. I never had to worry about our safety or our things. When we first arrived we were greeted by the staff, and they quickly did not hesitate to jump in and help us get set up

Will never stay anywhere else when visiting Georgia! Only 3 hours from tybee island, great woodsy location, family oriented, safe, and beautiful. 10/10 would definitely stay again!

This is our second time at this park, both times have been great. We love that there is a dog park and laundry on site! Employees are friendly, park is very clean and well maintained! Most sites are shaded and big rig friendly!
