MacRae's of Homosassa Inc

I gave MacRae’s 5 stars because it is a motel and as a motel it is outstanding. It is clean, comfortable, the staff are great. No hairdryer in the room but the wonderful cleaning staff got me one in seconds. Nice sized fridge. Microwave. Won’t use. Terrific location. The Shed bar is awesome. That said, we witnessed a tiny snow fluffy today so the Shed is closed…outside but covered bar and restaurant (great live music last night) a rare occurrence to have snow. The room is toasty.

Not a family oriented place whatsoever do not bring children here go anywhere but here if you have children. Place is dirty. Bathrooms had sh*t splattered all over the men’s toilet and my wife told me the trash in the woman’s bathroom was overflowing, and there was a tampon on the floor||Ever since the satellite bar has been shut down and Mary has been gone. The place has been just getting worse. Maybe if the staff was not so rude it would be a little more enjoyable coming here, but it seems like they are always having a bad day.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms! I wasn't expecting that. Freshly remodeled and very nice and clean. Small shower but we didn't spend all day in it, too much else to do. Love it! Oh, and the Jimmy's wings and bang bang shrimp are awesome!

Awesome boat rental place!!! They are so great if you want to rent a pontoon boat! Honest and professional!!!! They are the best price around! Also they are so on top of things!! They give you a run through of the boat and are the cheapest place around!! We used 2$ in gas and went to the hot springs and swam with the manatees. BEST day ever fished there. That had everything ready for a half day on the boat! Amazing day! It was my bday and swam with the manatees fished and saw dolphins! They met us as we docked the boat on the return. So so best place to rent pontoon boat ever and so prepared!!!

Got 2 dozen live shrimp for around $6. The boat launch you have to scan a qr code to pay and parking for trailer is behind main parking lot, you have to pay there also. The guy working there was very informative.
