While hiking throughout Chestnut Ridge I was intrigued when discovering the Lodge where the trail meets the parking lot. The Lodge, located in a tranquil cul-de-sac, is basked by unbridled ancient forest, extensive greenery, and on this morning a lovely pearly-white snowfall. Beautiful! Indeed this was an impressive backdrop! For a moment I was back in my native northern California. This location it appears would be the idyllic private setting for an extended family reunion. But on this morning, when the unlocked entry door opened, a rustic spacious interior containing picnic tables, accessories, and spotlessly clean male (and assuredly also female)lavatories were revealed. Returning to my hike came the following thought; “Chestnut Ridge is a gem within the Erie County park system”….
Did this for an event for my child vary spacious. Vary well up kept and clean. Has a playground next to it and a good space for parking.
Great lodge with its own restrooms, fridge and stove located inside. Playground is relatively close to the lodge as well.
Not open at time of visit turn around for today's walk at Chestnut Ridge Park
Great place for a bigger party or celebration. Large bathrooms with 5 stalls...windows...between playgrounds and baseball field.
