Lovers Key Resort

Units are basic. Small oven, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator, and dish washer. Small living room. TV in living room and bedroom. Decent size bathroom with single sink and good shower with lots of pressure. The location is central to Fort Meyers Beach and Bonita Beach. Parking is limited in the area and spots are taken up by Flippers restaurant. Pool is on the shaded side of the building so not great. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We’ve stayed several times in the past 7 yrs. This stay was very disappointing. The carpets were rolling from humidity I presume which is also a tripping hazard, the verticals had vanes missing & didn’t work very well to operate. The appliances are extremely outdated & dirty & we were charged for a Deluxe Suite? It was far from deluxe. I emailed a letter to manager twice, he never responded.|The location is beautiful, views of the gulf & bay. There were lots of dolphins in the area, nice pool & hot tub & delicious food at Flippers Restaurant next door it is fantastic. It’s sad how they aren’t more concerned about customer satisfaction.

We stayed 2 nights, probably one would have been better. We booked late and ended up with a less than desirable room, 102. They had a barge with construction equipment on it. Blocked a chunk of the bay view. Also there were pool heaters right outside the bedroom window. The lobby staff was great. Room was not ready so we hung out at Flippers. Around 415 it was ready. We arrived early for check in as we heard parking can be a problem due in part to construction equipment in the parking lot and Flippers. It was packed as the afternoon progressed. Would I stay there again, probably not. One needs to drive to the trolley to FMB and the state park. No side walk to make the stroll feel safe. So it felt a bit isolated. What a great resort! It may not be the most luxurious spot around, but it more than makes up for it with charm and comfort. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time I’m in the area. The rooms were spotless and well-kept, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The pool area was spacious, relaxing, and perfect for soaking up the Florida sunshine. One of the most magical parts of our stay? Watching dolphins swim by in the morning. Absolutely surreal. And the sunsets and sunrises? Picture-perfect. It’s the kind of view you just don’t want to leave. Right next door is Flippers, a waterfront restaurant that looked like a local favorite. We love lovers key it’s one of our favorite places to go. It’s absolutely beautiful everyone there is so nice. The rooms are beautiful. The pool is beautiful. The views are beautiful. The food is wonderful. Can’t say enough about it.
