An Awesome spot that I almost hesitate to post about, but it's great for canoers and kayakers. Nice, level site, with trees to provide some shade and a nice landing for your boat. Newer metal fire ring makes cooking easy. BE WARNED! Site 26C is NOT where the forest service shows it on their maps. Google Maps has it correct.
We have camped in more than 100 campgrounds across the United States and the sites along the Loud Pond are on our Top 5 list. Private, quiet, peaceful, clean and beautiful views of the pond. Come prepared, as this is true rustic backcountry camping.
Nice campsites to visit by boat while paddling the Au Sable. Clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the setting sun.
