Loon's Nest Motel

This will be our 4th time staying here, this coming summer. We stay once a year. Never have had a bad experience. Rooms are clean, A/C works well. Betty has always been very hospitable.

I have stayed here the last 2 years for Loon Day with my family. Rooms are clean even though they are a bit dark. Shower is nice and large and air conditioner works great. Owner is very friendly and willing to provide anything she can for you - all you need to do is ask. Love the little picnic tables provided so we can eat outside. Have a little refrigerator and microwave in room which works great for warming up leftovers. Within walking distance of everything going on for the festival, gas stations, eating places. Can sit out and listen to the festival music without having to be at the bar.

COZY, QUIET, COMFORTABLE. I have always had a sentimental fondness for the older Mom and Pop Motels and this is a great throwback. In Northern Wisconsin, this is a classic example. Cost is VERY reasonable. My unit had 2 double beds, a mini fridge, microwave, and flatscreen TV with cable. There was an AC unit, but just cracking a window did the job for the night. The owner of Loon's Nest was very nice and I was able to check in early even though I had just dropped by. The town is very quiet at night and I could even hear loons and other wildlife calling out in the distance, a welcome northwoods feeling. I can't wait to come back. Thank you for a great stay.

Very clean, neat. Betty is very nice. Just what you need overnight. Comfy beds. Homey feel.

Very good value. Nice beds, plenty of pillows, large selection of TV channels, microwave and mini fridge. Arrived during light rain, there is porch in front of room that you can park bike under and has small picnic table - great not having to be indoors. Many local taverns nearby - great meals within walking distance. C-store next door.
