Longhorn Casino & Hotel

Soon as I walked in the hotel to check in, i was overwhelmed with cigarette smoke. Even though there were signs marking no smoking by or near the elevators, the area smelled as if it was a smoking lounge. Inside the elevators were always smelling as if someone just had a cigarette in them. The ice machine is in the same area and in dire need of cleaning. The ice even tasted like cigarettes. On the sign out front, it's advertised in big letters "No Resort Fees". Thats a lie! I was charged a resort fee every day i was there. The casino really wasn't a casino. They have slot machines. But then again so does almost every gas station and grocery store. They aren't advertised as casinos. The hotel staff was friendly. I believe I have any complaints other than short handed. Easy getaway for the weekend, didn't go for the usual Vegas festivities. Was perfect distance off the strip to not be bothered and close enough to everything else to still pass the time. Will stay again

I had a couple of nights booked here but I decided to stay longer, so it was 5 days in total. This is an older property on the Boulder highway, a few blocks down from Sam's Town hotel/casino. It only has 4 floors, so getting up and down from your room to the lobby and casino is a breeze. The casino is small with slots only, but they give you some coupons so make sure and use them. The AC was old and kind of week. The hallway carpet is old and dreary. The whole place has an old college dorm feel to it. The shower pressure is pretty week, so a 10 minute shower takes about 20 minutes. The room was old, but okay. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, so there are people coming and going outside. Truth be told this place isn't as bad as it looks. It's clean, has a great little casino catering mostly to locals but the food in the restaurant is freaking awesome with great value! Don't be scared to stop in, even if it's for cheap but delicious food, plus the staff are terrific.

We stayed 3 nights and everything was great. There is a resort fee appx $6 per person per night but you get free breakfast coupon everyday. Room is comfy, clean, little bit oldish. When checked-in they spin the wheel and you get a prize.(free drink, no resort fee, $5-10-50 free slot etc.) They took a $100 deposit but after 4 days it is refunded. Chuck Wagon restaurant is amazing everything we tried is so delicious.
