We stayed here when there were no other people. Magical! We stayed in the *rustic* cabin, so no bathroom and a wood stove. There were shared bathrooms. At first I was skeptical but they were awesome! Super warm, smelled good lol; better than hotel bathrooms and completely private. The wood stove was honestly a lot of fun. Lochsa provided wood, tinder and matches. We definitely used the fire to keep the room warm. I love how independent this place makes you feel- great for people who like adventure!
My wife and I stayed for a couple nights in December, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was high quality and unique, and you should definitely try something Huckleberry. Who knew a pancake could be the size of a plate! The cabin was comfortable and perfectly warm, and the inside of the lodge and mountain scenery was amazing, like something out of a movie! My wife and I definitely plan to return again including sometime in the summer. Highly recommend this place!
I took my fiancée here for her birthday. I personally had been here many times and have always enjoyed my stay. But this time?! This time was an over the moon experience! Boots Tripp, an amazing employee here, made it the best. She handcrafted a weighted stuffy from my fiancé’s book series! It was literally the best introduction to an amazing weekend!!
Cabin? Perfect. Food? Perfect. Atmosphere? Perfect. But what really made this stay special was the staff. Specifically Boots Tripp. She reached out to my fiance, who had made the reservation, and asked how she could make our stay special. The two of them designed our stay around a fantasy book series that I enjoy. Boots provided a handmade crochet book character and handwritten and laminated postcards from characters in the book. I'm still blown away. We will 100000% be back.
I traveled to Lolo on business. I have celiacs and usually in places like this I have issues getting food but my 3 weeks eating at Locsha Lodge was the best I ever ate. I spoke with Keith my first day and he said they couldn't guarantee me gluten free food because they have a shared kitchen. I asked him to do his best and he got me a breakfast and lunch that was awesome. I went to explain to the hostess at dinner but Keith had already taken care of it and had made preparations for me in advance. They have an executive chef named Sarah that makes the most delicious food I had in Idaho/Montana. Out of literally hundreds of business trips this was the most epic trip I've ever had. I will definitely be coming back for a vacation with my wife.
