LivINN Hotel Minneapolis North/Fridley

If you are new to the Fridley area and looking for a place to stay, this is a very clean and well-run Hotel. There are a few front desk staff members who always make my experience a great one! "Dom" has helped me on numerous occasions and is very helpful. The executive suite is spacious and the hot tub is great. I have stayed in other rooms and they are always clean! Comfy beds, clean floors, no bugs, and quiet hallways. When booking a suite for a birthday or special occasion you can't go wrong. The morning breakfast has an ok selection and I wish that they kept it open till at least 1030am not 9 am.. Positive: Quiet, clean, convenient to my event Negative: Only one elevator, far away from the room I was given. Claimed there was nothing else available, closer to elevator or anywhere on 1st floor. Chairs in the room were ridiculous... desk chair broken & laid back nearly flat, side chair cardboard stiff.

I called to make a reservation, the employee was very attentive and said he had openings for next week which is the week I was planning to reserve. He was even willing to give me a discount should I show up in person and make the reservations. However, as soon as I asked if they are allowing US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents to stay his tone became angry, he answered "NO" and hung up on me. Have fun staying at a hotel uninterested in law enforcement and that discriminates against law officers. I highly recommend staying elsewhere.

If zero stars were possible, that’s exactly what I’d give this hotel. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that management and staff have little concern for guest comfort or cleanliness. The property is dirty, the atmosphere unwelcoming, and most of the staff behave as though basic requests are an inconvenience. While I did encounter two genuinely kind employees a Black gentleman with hair and a White woman at the desk the majority of staff were unprofessional and dismissive. One young woman with glasses in particular was especially rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. Housekeeping is nearly nonexistent. During my two-week stay, my room was serviced only once. At check-in, I found stained sheets and a leaking bathroom. Repeated calls to the front desk led nowhere the standard response was,

Great location. Close to all major highway and near many stores which is convenient. Have a hot breakfast which is unheard of at this price point and location. The rooms are of a larger size than any major hotel chain. But a bit out dated which wasn't an issue for me.
