Budget Host

Had no problem with my room unlike some other reviewers. The property is right next to a wonderful trail that you could take basically all the way to the Mississippi. Unfortunately, the driveway lets out straight onto a highway and there are hardly any businesses in walking distance. The real selling point is the price.

For the money an excellent deal! The room was clean and spacious with a kitchenette and free Wi-Fi. Non-smoking room did not smell like smoke unlike a lot of budget type hotels. Like a lot of hotels, a little closer to a busy road for my liking. The high water pressure made running the water a little loud.

Positive: Location Negative: was a horrible smell like old mold.Had to go to target & spent $60 on commet, febreeze, antibacterial, borax powder, scrubbies & papertowels for the bathroom i had to buy. Mat for the shower, soak shower head in solution due to years (im sure) soap scum

Bolt lock didn't work. The light in the bathroom had the automatic fan turn on that was SO LOUD! It was also uncovered and a fire hazard with dust clogging it. The dresser had no handles and was inlaid, so no way to open the drawers without tilting the whole thing. Maid service isn't daily. By day 2, we were out of clean towels, coffee, and cups. Creamer was so old, it was a solid chalk chunk in the packet. The walls are very thin and you can hear whole conversations! Running the water to take a shower is very loud, and the whole complex can hear that you are showering. You are right next to a busy road! The beds were comfortable. The water was soft. The TV cable was plentiful. Price was great. The staff was very helpful.

Positive: Attractive room. Table with two chairs as well as a desk. Negatives: The freezer in the refrigerator did not work because the door to it could not close because of th eaccumulation of ice (needs to be defrosted). I freeze ice packs each night for my cooler for the next day, but last night I was unable to do this. The lever to open the faucet to turn on the water in the sink in the bathroom was detached (broken off). I could place it on top and get the water turned on but I could not get it turned for hot. All the other hotels of this caliber that I have stayed in had some kind of breakfast included. This motel did not and it cost more than all the others.
