Lewis Mountain Campground

Small campground with 30 sites so don't dawdle getting here during peak season for a $30 first come first served sites. You can access the AT across from site 3 and also the AT from site 16 and from that site short trail to a summit view! When I arrived I parked and walked around looking for a good site. The camp host was driving around in his golf cart and said hello to me. He seemed nice. That was the end of our interactions. I was camped two sites away from him and he was offering, periodically, everybody in the sites around me wood, power to charge their power banks, coffee in the morning, brochures. A truly amazing campground, which felt very cozy and small. - First-come-first-serve campsites! - Checkout is at 12pm. - Bathrooms were very clean. - Every few campsites has water access (see photos). Campsite 17 has access. - 1 shower is available at camp store, $5 for 10 minutes.

George the camp host was wonderful! He helped me get my spot paid for and my fire wood! Thanks George! Had a great view of the sunrise! It’s a first come first serve, so get there early enough! They also have a nicely stocked camp-store, coin operated shower, laundry and bathrooms. There’s also a 1 mile loop trail that’s great for a quick hike!

A really nice campground in Shenandoah National Park off Skyline Drive. The sites are well maintained and close to the Appalachian Trail and other trails. They have a campground store that has reasonable prices and a good selection of items if you need something. The sites are first come first serve and self service registration. It will definitely fill up during peak season so it's best to get there early.

Great campground with clean facilities and a camp store. We car camped here for a night. Most sites have a pad and then there is overflow parking. Each site also has a picnic table and fire pit. There is a community spigot for water and at the restroom area is a slop sink to do dishes. There are also cabins for rent. There was one shower near the camp store (that I'm aware of) available for use. The staff was kind and helpful. It is first come first serve with a camp host available on site.
