Lenape Motel

I had stayed a few years back. The owners were nice, and it was a standard clean room. However, I'm writing the review because you cant always believe what you read in the reviews. They are simply other peoples opinions. The person that wrote the negative review below is actually living at this motel with her boyfriend. I work for another establishment in Seaside. Her boyfriend called my place looking for a new place to live because apparently their rent was going up for summer rates which is standard around here. They sadly pretended to be hurricane victims in order to justify their living arrangements years after the fact and than told me they were hotel snitches. I tried to explain I did not want drama nor did we need "snitches" because we run our business correctly. He than got angry,

I was a little leery when I was told to call back two weeks before my arrival date, but it worked out. The price turned out considerably lower than the alternative booked as a precaution.||||The room was small, but it didn't matter since I was alone. Everything was very clean. The microwave and refrigerator were very handy. I wanted a cool room and the air-conditioner did a good job. Nice that I could pull my car up right in front of my door. And the staff were were friendly and helpful.||Not a luxurious place by any means, but very satisfactory at a very reasonable price.

Owner confirmed my reservation and was pleasant over the phone. When we arrived, we were turned away. He would not say why but my husband is black, I am white and our daughter is mixed. He was extremely rude and made it clear there was no room for people like us at that motel. Then we were asked to leave. So sad! People open yourself to people who may be different than you.

The room was a pleasant surprise. We were attending a wedding reception right across the street & felt it was only one night, why not be practical. Well, much to my surprise, the room was clean & comfortable. Even the bride was shocked when she used the room to change into something more comfortable after the blessing of the vows. A great stopover.

I was a bit concerned when we pulled up to the place.We were spending one night after attending a party a few miles away. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised.It was very clean and quiet.It had a small fridge,microwave and a nice tv. The bed was very comfortable with nice clean sheets.Air conditioning worked well.I thought it to be quaint and charming and would return again.The price was perfect for what we needed.thanks for a great stay😁
